European Pheasant Hunt

April 4, 2026 | 9 AM | McCollum’s Hunting Preserve (Bejou, MN)

This is a European Pheasant Hunt, open to male and female combat veterans. We can accommodate handicap and wheelchairs for this hunt. Registration starts at 9 AM, followed by the hunt at 10 AM. Pheasant lunch included.

Cost: The event is free for veterans – except for ammo, which can be purchased on-site.


Vietnam Fishing at Lake of the Woods

June 15-17, 2026 | Sportsman’s Lodge (Baudette, MN)

Fishing together is a great way for Combat Veterans to bond and share their experiences. We’ll be taking 10 Vietnam Veterans to Lake of the Woods for a 3-day, all-expenses-paid excursion. Excellent accommodations and meals will be provided by Sportsman’s Lodge.

Our roster for 2026 is full, but please contact us to be added to the list for 2027.


Brady Oberg Legacy Annual Golf Tournament

June 19, 2026 | 9 AM | Forest Hills Golf Course (Detroit Lakes, MN)

Join us for an 18-hole golf tournament! All proceeds from the tournament help support our mission to help our combat veterans.

Cost: $500 for a 4-person team, which includes golfing, carts, lunch, and swag!


Woodland Fishing Adventure

August 9-10, 2026 | Woodland Lodge (Devils Lake, ND)

Register for this fishing adventure that will kick off on August 9 at 1 PM at Woodland Lodge – fishing in the afternoon followed by a fish shore dinner. Stay overnight at Woodland Resort and fish again the morning of the August 10.

Brady’s Border2Border Ruck March

May 21-23, 2026

“Brady’s battle has ended, but our mission continues – standing with veterans in their fight for tomorrow.”

Due to unavoidable scheduling realities, I have adjusted the route for the 2026 Brady’s Border2Border Ruck March. Our mission remains unchanged: to bring visible, sustained awareness to the ongoing epidemic of veteran suicide. This year’s route and structure are designed to keep us highly visible within the communities we serve while maintaining disciplined execution throughout the event.

THURSDAY | May 21, 2026

Step-off: 0700 — Post 21 American Legion (Moorhead, MN)
Route: Moorhead to the Veterans Memorial (Detroit Lakes, MN)
Distance: 43.4 miles total
ETA: Approximately 1930

Each team will complete 14.3 miles at a 17:20 pace.
We will conclude the day at the memorial with fellowship and recovery.

FRIDAY | May 22, 2026

Step-off: 0700 — Veterans Memorial (Detroit Lakes, MN)
Route: Detroit Lakes to Post 21 American Legion (Moorhead, MN)
ETA: Approximately 1930

Each team will again complete 14.3 miles at a 17:20 pace.

SATURDAY | May 23, 2026 | Combined Team Movement

Step-off: 0800 — Post 21 American Legion, Moorhead
Route: 12.4 miles to the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Harwood, ND
ETA: Approximately 1130

Upon arrival, we will hold a short gathering to reinforce the purpose behind this ruck — the why that drives every mile.

Team gathering: 1400 — gathering and celebration as we close another year, honoring American heroes who gave their lives in service to our nation.


Ladies Fall Fishing & Relaxing Adventure

October 2-4, 2026 | Castaway Club (Vergas, MN)

Register for this adventure of yoga, fishing, and camaraderie. We kick off this weekend on October 2 at 5 PM at Castaway Club – just outside Detroit Lakes, MN. The weekend will include guided fishing, a challenge course, great food, and meeting new people. This is open to any female combat veterans.

Cost: Thanks to our donors, this weekend is completely free (once you arrive at Castaway Club).


Night with the RedHawks

June 24, 2026 | 7 PM | Newman Field (Fargo, ND)

Join us in a private suite to join a baseball game. Open to veterans and a plus one.

Cost: Free with both your ticket and food provided.


Veteran Fall Hunting & Fishing Adventure

September 17-20, 2026 | Holbrook Farms (Detroit Lakes, MN)

Register for this adventure of hunting, fishing and comradery. We kick off this weekend on September 17 around 4 PM at Holbrook Farms – just outside Detroit Lakes, MN.

The weekend will include guided fishing and pheasant hunting at McCollum Hunting Preserve. This is open to any male combat veterans. For the pheasant hunting, veterans will be walking in tall grass – please dress accordingly.

Cost: Thanks to our donors, this weekend is completely free (once you arrive at Holbrooks Farms).


Black Powder Hunting

November 27-29, 2026 | Ulen, MN

Register for this black powder deer hunting adventure. The muzzleloaders and everything needed is provided. You must have been on one of our retreats in the past to be eligible for this retreat. Open to 4 Combat Veterans.


Giving Hearts Day 2027

Opens January 4-February 14, 2027 | Online

Giving Hearts Day is our grandest fundraising event of the year. The support we receive from our incredible donors during this period allows us to maintain our commitment to helping our combat Veterans and keeping all our retreats 100% free for our veterans.

With your generous contributions, we can also continue to fund scholarships at NDSU and UND, providing educational opportunities for deserving individuals. Furthermore, thanks to our wonderful donors, we’ve been able to organize numerous PTSD awareness events, making a meaningful impact in our community.

Musky Fishing Adventure

September 27, 2025 | Maplewood State Park (Beers Lake; Otter Tail County, MN)

Full-day fishing adventure targeting Musky on Beers Lake in Otter Tail County, MN. Attendees will meet at Maplewood State Park entrance at 6:30 AM where they will meet their guides. All fish cleaning will be completed by the guides and Veterans will be allowed to take their catch home. 

All transportation to and from the lake will be on the Veteran. Food and beverages will be provided. Open to 6 Veterans.


Workout 4 Warriors

September 10, 2022 | CrossFit Fargo

CrossFit Fargo will host “Workouts 4 Warriors” Memorial Event to honor US Servicemen and Servicewomen who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.

This event is being held to raise awareness to Veteran PTSD and help prevent Veteran suicide. Funds raised at the event will financially support The Brady Oberg Foundation.

Starting at 8:30 AM on September 10, athletes will perform a different United State Marine Corps “Hero WOD” every hour, on the hour for 24 straight hours. The event will end September 11 with a Hero WOD at 7:46 AM – the time the first plane struck the Twin Towers on 9/11.

Each WOD can be performed RX’d or Scaled. Also, each WOD can be performed with a partner.
